- Install Zoom. Make sure to install the Zoom desktop client: https://zoom.us/download
- Create a Zoom account. Create a free Zoom account if you do not already have one.
- Add a profile picture. This is required for instances where your webcam is not working or the video feed is dropped because of low bandwidth. Click here for instructions.
- Test your video and audio settings. Join the Zoom meeting at least 15 minutes before the start to test. See Zoom video and audio instructions for further details.
- Know how to share content on your PC. Make sure your content is opened before joining the meeting and review Zoom instruction for sharing your screen.
- Virtual background. If you would like to create a virtual background to display during your presentation, click here for instructions on how to do this.
- Create a video recording of your presentation. This is required as a back-up if you’re unable to join the live event. Click here for instructions on how to record this in Zoom.
- When logging into Zoom, make sure to log in with your own name (or rename yourself) so that the host will be able to identify you.
